What is K?

K (https://www.k-online.com/) is the largest plastics exhibition in the world and takes place every 3 years. In 2022, it celebrated its 70th anniversary in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Intouch have been exhibiting at the K show for over a decade and continue to seek success during, and after the event.

The British Plastics Federation, provided their British Pavilion which enabled UK visitors to exhibit within their hub which features public meeting areas, supported by the UK’s Department for International Trade (DIT).

'It felt like our most successful K show to-date. There was a lot of praise for our cloud hosted monitoring system and huge interest in our new Energy Monitoring and Alerts module.'

John Hardwick, Managing Director

Intouch Customer, Wheatley Plastics visits us

It was great to see Adam Chamberlain and Gareth Drabble from Wheatley Plastics as they visited our stand for a catch up.

Wheatley Plastics continue to use the Intouch system and have managed to increase their utilisation by 55% in just 3 months thanks to the real-time data fed by our monitoring system.

We continue to work closely with Gary, Donna and the team to help them further improve their efficiency, and look forward to a future working with them.

Dr. Robin Kent meets with our team!

Dr. Robin Kent has been involved with plastics processing since 1972 in a variety of sectors ranging from extrusion to injection moulding.

Dr Kent is an independent consultant and carries out energy surveys and assessments throughout the industry.

We have recently partnered with Dr Kent to help us develop our Energy Monitoring and Alerts module, which will be released in Q1 2023, and enable users to get alerted when a machine is consuming a large amount of energy, but not making parts.

Boddingtons Plastics Limited

Boddingtons Plastics Limited are medical moulders based in the South of England.

Wayne Allen introduced our system into their facility in early 2020 and have since used the real-time data to help them run their production lines efficiently.

We spoke with Wayne and Andy at the show about the possibility of running a pilot of our energy monitoring module which is currently in BETA. Since the show, this project is currently in progress.

We look forward to getting this online in the near future.

When is the next K show?

The next K show will take place on 8-15th October, 2025, in Dusseldorf, Germany.
