Got questions about Intouch software?
It may already have been answered on our FAQ.
Hardware
Many of our customers use third-party smart tablets to use as an HMI. The only requirement is that it can run a modern web browser such as Google Chrome, Safari or Firefox.
We recommend that the display is larger than 7″ as a minimum.
Our system is periodically tested against the Lenovo Tab M10 HD which has a 10″ screen and is marketed at a relatively low cost.
There is no official way to prevent users from closing or exiting the application, however there are third party ‘Kiosk mode’ applications available which can help prevent this.
We recommend https://www.android-kiosk.com/. The application does require a licence to use the full features.
To start, check our status by visiting https://status.intouchi4.com. If any of the tests show as red then access to our services may be blocked. Seek support from your IT department/manager.
Scheduling and Planning
Holiday periods can be set within the Planner which is accessed via the navigator (Permission required).
No problem, simply allow your machines to run during this period, we will continue to count good parts.
If the machine was to stop, the status would automatically set to ‘Factory Shutdown’ instead of ‘Alarm’.
Alternatively, you can set the specific shift to a ‘worked’ period within the holiday and overtime planner.
If you get the error “Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0 provider is not registered on the local machine” after installing a download which reads from an Excel file, then do the following:
Install the Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13255
NOTE: This error will only apply to the Windows Client.
