In 2022, Wheatley Plastics celebrated its 70th anniversary and decided to open its doors to the public for the first time.

The event saw many people from within the UK plastics industry and further come together to celebrate the milestone, with a hog roast buffet on offer at lunch.

About the event

Gary Knight, MD of Wheatley Plastics presented an overview and history of Wheatley. The day was split into two presentations, and following this speech, the visitors were given a tour of the facilities, and representatives from their partners showcased the technology used, Including the Intouch monitoring system which has been in use since February 2022.

The Intouch team make an appearance

Nathan Clarke, Lucy Hardwick and Andy Jewell represented our team on the day and had many conversations with the visitors about upgrading to #industry4point0. It was great to be able to have potential customers actually see our software in action on live equipment.

The day proved successful for all parties involved – We were able to further strengthen our connections within the industry and make new ones.
